Maintenance Service Worker
Wage: $23 – $25/hour | Full-Time | Overtime Eligible
Location: Advance Transit, Upper Valley Region
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Advance Transit is seeking a Maintenance Service Worker to help keep our buses, facilities, and community moving. This role is safety-sensitive and essential to the daily operation of our organization. Whether you're experienced or just getting started, we’re ready to train the right person who takes pride in a job well done.
What You'll Do
- Fuel & Fluids: Check and replenish fuel, oil, and other vehicle fluids; refuel at off-site stations when needed.
- Vehicle Cleaning: Wash and sanitize the inside and outside of buses and support vehicles.
- Facilities Upkeep: Perform janitorial duties across offices, restrooms, break rooms, and shared spaces.
- Grounds Maintenance: Mow, rake, sweep, shovel snow, and apply salt/sand to keep areas safe and clean.
- Bus Shelter Maintenance: Keep shelters clean and accessible in all seasons.
- Team Support: Assist with other maintenance duties as directed by leadership.
What We’re Looking For
Education:
- High school diploma or GED – or equivalent experience.
Skills:
- English proficiency (read, write, speak)
- Basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to understand safety instructions and manuals
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift/move 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs (with assistance)
- Comfortable with physical tasks including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting
- Work in varying conditions including outdoors, humidity, and around moving equipment
Experience:
- None required. We will train the right candidate.
